Modernism Week develops a world-class series of lectures that range from entertaining to academic. Scholars, authors, architects, designers and others are invited to speak at the Lecture and Presentation Series at the Annenberg Theater, CAMP and other theater-style venues each day during Modernism Week.
Modernism Week annually features a high-profile Keynote Presentation by one of the world’s thought-leaders in architecture and design, or highly respected architectural historian or author. Pictured above Moshe Safdie
Incorporated into the Modernism Week lecture series are panel discussions typically comprised of 3 or more participants discussing a central topic. They are often more casual in nature and conversational between the presenters.
A selection of Modernism Week lectures and programs are eligible for licensed architects to earn AIA continuing education credits.
Modernism Week showcases a number of films relating to historically relevant periods of design and architecturally significant projects and designers. These films include award-winning documentaries and biopics, and some have had their world premiere at Modernism Week.
Modernism Week and American Documentary Film Festival (AmDocs) present the acclaimed Architecture, Design, Art Film Series (ADAFF) during Modernism Week’s February event each year. Attendees will have access to more than 30 films, documentaries and short films.
