Casa Haku is a 1959 Alexander Construction Company home designed by celebrated architects Palmer & Krisel in Palm Springs’ iconic Vista Las Palmas neighborhood. Over the decades, a series of renovations gradually obscured much of the home’s original midcentury character, leaving its architectural pedigree waiting to be rediscovered.

The owners turned to H3K Home + Design to thoughtfully reimagine the property, undertaking a dramatic transformation of both the interior and exterior. New finishes, architectural details and carefully considered spaces restore the clarity and spirit of the original design while introducing a fresh, contemporary point of view. Clean lines, natural materials and subtle Japandi influences bring warmth and sophistication to the home while remaining rooted in the effortless elegance of desert modernism.

Outdoors, an entirely new pool, lounge and dining areas transform the backyard into a seamless extension of the home, embracing the indoor-outdoor lifestyle at the heart of Palm Springs living.

The result is a refined new interpretation of a classic Alexander—one that honors its Palmer & Krisel heritage while confidently carrying the home into its next chapter.

Modernism Week sponsors Arizona Tile, Brizo, California Closets, Dunn-Edwards Paints, INAX and James Martin Vanities, contributed to this home's remarkable transformation.
