Step through the Green Gates and into a living, three-dimensional work of art created by internationally celebrated artist Josh Agle, known as Shag. Explore a classic 1958 Palmer & Krisel home built by the Alexander Construction Company in Palm Springs’ Little Beverly Hills neighborhood.

Shag reimagined the property as an immersive world of midcentury Modern architecture, original art, color, glamour and playful fantasy. Much of the artwork was created by Shag specifically for the house, while the custom furnishings, finishes and architectural details were designed to make the entire environment feel like stepping into one of his paintings. Each room reveals another part of the story—and another surprise.

Choose from two distinct experiences:

Self-Guided House Tour—$45

Explore at your own pace while trained Shag House docents stationed throughout the property share the home’s history, creative process, design challenges, custom features and hidden details. These tours are self-guided and are not led by Shag.

The experience moves through the art-filled Living Room, bold Kitchen and Peanut Brittle wall, cool retro bar, intimate Tiki Room and wildly imaginative Tropical, Chinese Dragon, Kitty Cat and Cocktail bedrooms. Outside, discover the expansive Covered Outdoor Living space, colorful Modfire Lounge, and Pool and Spa and even challenge someone to a playful round of table tennis.

Self-guided tour sessions begin at 10:00 AM, 11:00 AM and noon on each tour date.

Premium Shag-Led Artist Walkthrough—$250

For guests seeking an especially rare experience, the premium afternoon session is an intimate walkthrough led personally by Shag, limited to 25 guests.

The artist will share how the house moved from concept to reality, the inspiration behind favorite rooms with custom elements and personal stories behind this extraordinary environment.

The premium experience concludes with a signature cocktail on the pool deck, a photograph with Shag, and a signed commemorative event card.

The premium walkthrough runs from 2:00-3:15 PM on each tour date. A premium ticket is required; a self-guided tour ticket does not include the Shag-led experience.
