Seven Lakes Residence: PS ModCom Iconic Home Tour

The Seven Lakes Golf & Country Club, constructed between 1964 and 1972, is a private, Midcentury Modern, gated community nestled on 120 acres. This home tour will give you a glimpse into a truly exceptional home, a virtual treasure trove of collectible 20th-century design and art.

The residence, designed by architect Richard Harrison, showcases original furniture by renowned designers like Jean Prouvé, Pierre Jeanneret, and Charlotte Perriand, perfectly complementing the architecture. As you step inside, you'll see artwork by Alexander Calder, Jean Dubuffet, and Le Corbusier, as well as contemporary photography by Gregory Crewdson, Hiroshi Sugimoto, and Candida Höfer, among others.

The owners, Rick Reilly, an interior designer, and Craig Robinson, a fintech executive, found comfort from the pandemic in New York City by relocating to Seven Lakes, which they now proudly call their permanent home. While touring their stunning property by the 10th fairway, visitors have the unique opportunity to meet the owners. "Simply put," says Reilly, "there is no other community that offers outstanding midcentury architecture in such a low-density environment. It is paradise."

The Palm Springs Modern Committee (PS ModCom) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the appreciation and preservation of Desert Modern architecture and design. We accomplish this through education, advocacy for threatened buildings, promotion of heritage tourism, and the celebration of successes in preservation and adaptive reuse.
