Celebrate the glamour of Palm Springs’ golden era at Celebrities on the Green, a vibrant early-evening event at the historic O’Donnell Golf Club, the desert’s first private course and a longtime Hollywood retreat. Step back in time and experience midcentury Palm Springs through music, fashion, food and vintage Hollywood charm.

Enjoy a high-energy performance by The Dreamboats—charismatic performers who bring the timeless sounds of the 1950s and ’60s to life with a fresh, contemporary energy—alongside a showcase of beautifully restored midcentury automobiles and lively go-go dancers that capture the era’s retro spirit. In tribute to O’Donnell’s storied golf history, the event honors icons such as Sam Snead, Ben Hogan, Patty Berg, Babe Zaharias and Mickey Wright. Guests are encouraged to dress as their favorite celebrity or golf pro from the 1940s–’60s.

The "optional golf course tour" is designed to accommodate up to 100 guests and will take approximately one hour to complete in its entirety. Each individual golf cart will provide a guided experience lasting up to 15 minutes per cart, with carts rotating continuously to ensure all guests enjoy the tour comfortably and efficiently. Offered during the first hour of the event, this guided tour gives guests a rare opportunity to explore the historic O’Donnell Golf Course and take in its storied beauty. Near the clubhouse, a nostalgic Good Humor Ice Cream Cart adds a playful, retro touch to the experience, while the nearby golf shop will be open for guests to browse and purchase O’Donnell Golf Club merchandise, an inviting opportunity to take home a piece of this iconic Palm Springs landmark.

Food and selective craft cocktails are included in the celebration, with all culinary offerings created by Chef Gabriel Woo, the acclaimed talent behind Bar Cecil and a Palm Springs Life “40 Under 40” honoree. As the chef overseeing food and beverage operations at O’Donnell Golf Club, Chef Woo is known for blending nostalgia with modern creativity, making him the perfect culinary partner for this midcentury-inspired event
