South Palm Canyond Drive in Palm Springs, CA with palm trees and Modernism Week banner

Explore Racquet Club Estates, one of Palm Springs' most iconic neighborhoods. Tour Krisel/Alexander and Meiselman homes, admire vintage cars and enjoy the timeless beauty of midcentury design.

Step into one of Palm Springs’ most iconic neighborhoods—Racquet Club Estates, a midcentury marvel of more than 500 homes that helped define the desert modern lifestyle. Designed by visionary architects William Krisel and Donald Wexler for the Alexander Construction Company, and some designed and built by Jack Meiselman, these homes introduced the post-war generation to the joys of indoor-outdoor living in Southern California.

With modest footprints balanced by sparkling pools, shaded patios, and mountain views, Racquet Club Estates offered affordable luxury for the modern middle class. Today, the neighborhood’s architectural spirit endures—butterfly roofs, breezeblock walls, dramatic overhangs, and vibrant pops of color still line the streets, preserving the joyful optimism of the era.

On this special Valentine’s Day Modernism Week tour, guests will discover a curated selection of six (6) homes, complete with vintage car displays at each stop. Begin your journey with a beverage and light snack at check-in, then explore homes that honor their history while embracing the Palm Springs lifestyle.

A portion of the proceeds from this event support neighborhood projects and benefit the greater Palm Springs community.
