OVERTURE brings together a cast of exceptional performers for a lively journey through the Broadway musicals of the 1940s, ’50s and ’60s. The evening will feature beloved songs from shows such as Oklahoma!, South Pacific, Guys and Dolls, West Side Story, Gypsy, Hello, Dolly!, The Music Man and My Fair Lady. The latter two have a special connection to Palm Springs, with their motion-picture versions receiving major premieres at the historic Plaza Theatre. From romantic ballads and sophisticated standards to playful ensemble numbers and legendary showstoppers, our performers will bring the music to life with powerful vocals, personality and plenty of Broadway flair. Guests will be seated close to the action as the performance moves throughout the room, capturing the intimate excitement of a glamorous supper club where Broadway’s brightest songs take center stage.

The evening will celebrate the legendary composers and lyricists who transformed American musical theater, including Rodgers and Hammerstein, Lerner and Loewe, Leonard Bernstein, Cole Porter, Meredith Willson, Jule Styne and Stephen Sondheim. A secret multi-course menu and free-flowing beverages are included. Midcentury cocktail attire is encouraged but never required.
