Designed in the 1960s, Seven Lakes is a remarkable collection of 341 homes by architect Richard Harrison, originally promoted for its “serenity, privacy and carefree living.” Today, the community remains admired for its distinctive midcentury architecture, dramatic walls of glass, extensive use of decorative shadow block and seamless relationship between architecture and landscape.

The tour begins at the community’s iconic William Cody-designed clubhouse, just beyond the guarded gates. From there, guests stroll through the beautifully landscaped grounds and across the Ted Robinson-designed 18-hole executive golf course, famously associated with President Dwight D. Eisenhower’s hole-in-one.

Spread across approximately 120 acres, Seven Lakes includes fifteen swimming pools set among expansive greenbelts, mature landscaping and extraordinary mountain views.

Guests will then step inside a specially curated selection of eight distinctive residences, each demonstrating a different interpretation of Palm Springs Modernism. From carefully preserved architectural details to sophisticated contemporary interiors, the homes illustrate how Seven Lakes’ midcentury architecture continues to accommodate individual expression more than six decades after it was conceived.
