This Friday the 13th, the veil thins, the torches flicker, and Exotica After Dark rises from the shadows. Slip into your snazziest aloha attire and step into a night where vintage tiki vibes meet midcentury intrigue.

The evening unfolds at Palm Springs’ legendary Royal Hawaiian Estates—a midcentury architectural gem designed by Donald Wexler and Richard Harrison in 1960, blending clean modernist lines with bold Polynesian flair. From its iconic Flying Sevens to its tiki-teeth apex rooflines, each unit is a character in its own right—lovingly restored, brimming with vintage charm and steeped in tropical mystique.

As night falls, step inside three exclusive units—open only to guests of Exotica After Dark. Sway to hypnotic live music, savor light bites and sip expertly crafted cocktails. The spirits will flow, the dancing will ignite and tiki idols will keep watch as your favorite Palm Springs tiki bars conjure up more than just “Zombies”. Guests will also receive a limited-edition souvenir designed by Shag, created exclusively for this event.

Before the cocktail party, join in for a separate, "ticketed" neighborhood home tour, featuring 13 iconic interiors that celebrate the rich history of this Polynesian paradise.

A portion of the proceeds support the ongoing restoration and modernization of Royal Hawaiian Estates, preserving its midcentury magic for generations to come.
