Art, legacy and a little Palm Springs swagger! Join us for the eagerly awaited Modernism Art District Tour taking place on Saturday, February 21.

In anticipation of the tour, Modernism Week invites you as our guests to this special pre-tour preview presentation focused on Palm Springs’ five vibrant Art Districts—each one a living archive of color, clarity and curated rebellion.

Local photographer, artist and curator Terry Hastings will lead an engaging talk tracing the lineage of Midcentury Modernism from the 1930s to the 1970s—and revealing how today’s artists echo, adapt and reinvent those iconic ideals.

From Bauhaus restraint to Pop Art mischief, Terry will spotlight the creators who carry the torch, whether through abstract expressionism, desert surrealism or poolside minimalism.

This isn’t just a history lesson. It’s a celebration of the now, of artists who stage emotion with technical clarity, who honor the past without being trapped by it. Expect insight, irreverence and a few surprises.
