Sandpiper Circle 10: A Midcentury Marvel Neighborhood Home Tour

Explore six Krisel designed homes in the iconic Sandpiper community. Enjoy restored interiors, poolside patios and romantic midcentury style perfect for a Valentine's Day Eve experience!

Celebrate love and midcentury style as you explore six exceptional homes in this iconic desert community on the Sandpiper Circle 10 Modernism Week Home Tour. Designed by William Krisel, who masterfully shaped both the architecture and landscape, Sandpiper stands out as an unusually elegant and cohesive community. Built between 1958 and 1969, it was one of the first condominium communities in the Coachella Valley and continues to exemplify midcentury desert modern architecture at its finest.

Tour highlights include beautifully restored interiors, private poolside patios and original design details, all set in a romantic desert ambiance perfect for Valentine’s Day eve. Guests can enjoy the charm of Krisel’s signature style while celebrating love, elegance and the timeless allure of midcentury desert living.

Sandpiper consists of nine separate real estate subdivisions representing eleven building stages that occurred over a 12-year period, making it a truly unique and historic community. Visitors can see how Krisel and the builders responded over time to the evolving needs of homeowners, the availability of materials and economic conditions, creating a modern product that perfectly celebrates life in the desert.
