Designed in 1962 as his personal residence and creative laboratory, this home reflects Elrod’s fearless approach to Desert Modernism. With its vibrant color palette, custom furnishings, built-in sound systems, and dramatic 14-foot ceilings, it remains one of the most complete and authentic representations of his early work.

“We are often asked why we chose this home,” say the current owners. “It was love at first sight. We were immediately drawn to the magnificent spaces, the light, and the beautiful original interiors. From the beginning, we’ve felt a deep responsibility to care for and protect it.”

Though the house has remained remarkably untouched for over 60 years, the time has come for thoughtful updates. The owners plan to restore essential systems, update the kitchen, and preserve defining features like the V’Soske rug and 22-foot living room sofa—honoring Elrod’s timeless vision while embracing his futurist spirit.

This PS ModCom Iconic Home Tour offers a final opportunity to experience The Escape House in its nearly original state—before a respectful new chapter begins.

Step inside—and experience a moment in time preserved in style!
