Experience this original Donald Wexler-designed Alexander-built gem. This 1965 Green Fairway Estates home features iconic stack-stone walls, suspended metal fireplace and offers seamless indoor-outdoor living.

Originally the Richard and Signe Holechek Residence, this home received Class 1 Historic Site designation in 2025. It exemplifies Donald Wexler's innovative use of prefabricated materials and flexible tract-home design, reflecting the postwar residential boom that helped define Modern Palm Springs.

Designed by Donald Wexler with Richard Harrison and built by the Alexander Construction Company, Green Fairway Estates was planned as a 35-home development. Only 29 homes were completed after the tragic deaths of George and Robert Alexander in a plane crash that halted construction of the development.

Built in 1965, originally as a three-bedroom, two-bath now a four-bedroom, this residence enjoys panoramic mountain views and retains many of its defining Midcentury Modern features, including the original conical suspended fireplace, stacked-stone walls, asymmetrical low-pitched roof with deep overhangs, recessed double-door entry, vertical wood siding and post-and-beam construction with exposed beams.

Its distinctive H-shaped floor plan separates public and private living spaces, while floor-to-ceiling glass and a central atrium create Wexler's signature seamless connection between indoors and outdoors.

Carefully preserved and enhanced with a thoughtful addition that respects the original design, this exceptional residence remains a remarkable example of Wexler's vision and the enduring legacy of Palm Springs Modernism.
