Nestled at the base of the San Jacinto Mountains in a serene corner of South Palm Springs, Soleil House is the latest renovation project by Trina Turk; an ambitious transformation that breathes new life into a long-neglected 1963 midcentury home.

With a deep passion for Modern architecture and interior design, Trina has spent years exploring the rich legacy of midcentury style through global travels, museum symposiums, architectural tours, and open houses throughout Southern California and beyond. Her appreciation for thoughtful design and bold aesthetics shapes every detail of Soleil House.

Currently under renovation, the home is being carefully updated with Modern technology while preserving the clean lines, light-filled simplicity, and inviting scale that define Palm Springs architecture. The original footprint remains intact, complete with expansive city views from an extended balcony; setting the stage for a sophisticated, contemporary refresh that highlights Trina’s signature use of color, texture, and pattern.

Drawing inspiration from the surrounding desert landscape and native flora, the palette reflects the creative spirit of artists Albert Frey and Agnes Pelton, blending timeless influences with a Modern sensibility.

We invite you to join Trina Turk for an exclusive sunset cocktail reception; the very first opportunity to experience Soleil House at twilight and see her vision brought to life.

The Palm Springs Modern Committee (PS ModCom) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the appreciation and preservation of Desert Modern architecture and design. We achieve this through education, advocacy for threatened buildings, promotion of heritage tourism, and the celebration of successes in preservation and adaptive reuse.
