Located in the heart of Palm Springs’ Uptown Design District, Eight4Nine Restaurant & Lounge offers a stylish and contemporary dining experience inside one of the city’s notable midcentury-era buildings. Originally constructed in 1954 as the Palm Springs Post Office, the building has been thoughtfully transformed into a dramatic restaurant and gathering place while maintaining its connection to the city’s architectural heritage.

Known for its creative New American cuisine, Eight4Nine Restaurant & Lounge features seasonally inspired dishes that blend fresh California ingredients with contemporary flavors and elegant presentation. The restaurant has earned a reputation for approachable yet refined dining, complemented by inventive cocktails and a social atmosphere.

• GUACAMOLE & CHIPS: Hass avocado, jalapeño, red onion, cilantro, lime, and tortilla chips (V, GF)

SECOND COURSE: (Guests pre-select one)

• HEIRLOOM TOMATO SALAD: Roasted piquillo crème Fraiche, Salsa Macha, mixed greens, Marcona almonds, and cilantro (GF, V)
• CORN & CRAB CHOWDER: Wild Mexican blue crab (optional), Weiser farm peewee potato, applewood smoked bacon, herb oil, piquillo pepper

ENTREE COURSE: (Guests pre-select one)

• MESQUITE-SMOKED CARNE ASADA: Harris Ranch beef skirt steak, refried pintos, Negra Modelo ranchera sauce, pico de gallo, corn pudding (GF)
• CHICKEN MILANESE: Free range chicken breast with lemon-caper beurre Blanc, wild baby arugula, baby heirloom tomatoes, shaved parmesan
• GRILLED SCOTTISH STEELHEAD: Summer succotash, arugula salad, California Ranch Arbequina olive oil, Beurre blanc sauce, herb oil
• ROASTED CAULIFLOWER STEAK: Served with walnut-caper salsa, Fresno chile, curried cauliflower purée, and lemon (V, VE, GF)

DESSERT:

• COACHELLA LIME PIE: Raspberry coulis, candied lime zest, fresh raspberries
